About This Event

LA Law Library, located in the heart of the Los Angeles Civic Center, 301 W. 1st. St. hosts over 80 on-demand video classes, online legal-assistance workshops, "hot topic" discussions, and other National Pro Bono Week events. All classes, workshops, and events will be available at no cost via Zoom, on-demand or in-person, from October 25-30. Details and registration location is https://probonoweek.lalawlibrary.org/. \ More than 50 legal assistance organizations, volunteer attorneys, and other social services providers will offer information and assistance for those dealing with housing, family or employment issues, challenges due to Covid19, domestic violence, immigration, preparing for emergencies or end of life, clearing a criminal record, changing a name or gender marker, understanding student loan debt, disability rights, and many other topics. \ Classes and individualized workshops are offered for individuals representing themselves, whether litigating in court or attempting to vindicate their rights in any other setting. In addition, members of the public without legal counsel who need additional guidance and support may also register for free consultations with volunteer attorneys
