About This Event

Meeting your partner\'s parents has never been so intimidating. On a trip to meet his (white) girlfriend\'s parents in their affluent suburb, Chris Washington reads the familyʼs over-accommodating behavior as an awkward attempt to deal with their daughterʼs interracial relationship. But as the weekend progresses, and after a series of disturbing discoveries, Chris realizes that just because youʼre invited doesn\'t mean you\'re welcome. Composer Michael Abels conducts his disconcerting “gospel horror” original score, performed live by the LA Opera Orchestra and the amazing DC6 Singers (the performers heard on the soundtrack).
