About This Event

Embodying the progress and collective power of the feminist movement, while simultaneously acknowledging its glaring setbacks and discriminatory tactics, 3 LA-based choreographers — Victoria Brown, Marissa Osato, and Carissa Songhorian — lead the creative direction of a dance film exploring the racial tensions within the feminist movement. Part of MashUp Contemporary Dance Company\'s annual program commemorating National Women\'s Equality Day, the film promises to inspire moments of introspection while interrogating societal expectations.\ \ The outdoor event held at Dotsspace Culver City will include a panel discussion examining what feminism looks like in 2021 and why its evolution is important, in addition to the premiere and an artist Q&A.\ \ Join us for a multifaceted evening outdoors at the premiere event on October 23rd!
